The River Terrace Elementary School (aka the River Terrace Community School) served the neighborhood since 1952. In 2015, renovation and expansion of the School into the River Terrace Education Campus was completed. On a Saturday in August 2015, the Campus held a Family and Community Fun Day to re-introduce itself to the neighborhood.
